If any of you came to the site first thing yesterday, you may have noticed it wasn’t here.
The reasoning for that is pretty simple. It’s because I recently moved hosting over to Futaidnet.com and my domain started pointing to their servers on Wednesday.
Recovery time should be minimal. There were some issues with the comic and news display scripts that needed attention. Many thanks to ComradeF and Futaid himself for helping set things straight!
The only other problem the site is having right now is that the forum is down. This is partially due to having no database behind it on the new server and partially because I’m so swamped with other things, I don’t have time to get it up and running just yet.
Fortunately, I made a back up of the forum on Tuesday, so those of you who visit there should be in good shape when it comes back.
If any of you have had the experience of moving servers and tring to resussitate a forum let me know. I’d be interested in your input.
Last bit of site news I’ll mention – we have a new advertiser! Everyone say hello to Comic Stack! It’s a great web site that covers EVERYTHING comics. All the way from Marvel to the tinest web offering. I love combing through their articles for the latest news. Check it out. It’s a great site.

Guys, I am passing along a note from my good friend, THorum moderator and hosting provider Brian asking for your help to bring the server that Theater Hopper (and several other well known comics like Nothing Nice To Say, Rob and Elliot, Beaver and Steve, Joe and Monkey and many more) resides on.
Brian has been notified by the company that owns the server that we are FAR beyond the allowed rate of transfer – around 20Mbps at points when we should be around 1Mbit, or so.
Brian needs a monetary influx to upgrade the server to the point that we can avoid the server company imposing a transfer rate cap. A cap would greatly slow down the performance of the server and all the sites on it and we wish to avoid that.
Once we get past this growing pain, Brian is planning to launch his own hosting company, the proceeds from which should hopefully make donation requests like these a thing of the past as his company becomes self-sustaining and wildly successful.
Please donate anything you can spare, even if it’s just a dollar. I’ve already sent money onto Brian to help him pursue his dream of forming his own business and as a “Thank You” for the continued service he provides this site. He more than deserves our support for the time he has invested into the success of Theater Hopper.

There’s going to be a delay getting the comic up today. We’re having some problem with our hosting provider right now. Basically, I can’t upload anything to the site and I don’t know why. I get an error message through Dreamweaver saying that it can’t synch up with the server clock. Then I get an FTP error saying the file I’m trying to upload either doesn’t exist or there is a permissions problem. If any of you guys have an idea why this might be, drop me a line.
Of course, I learn that the server is all screwed up yesterday when I tried to upload a change to the book order page. I was getting the same errors, and like an idiot, thought, "We’ll, I’ll delete the file from the server and try uploading it again!" No go. Now there’s no book order page. Super.
Hopefully, we’ll have this problem fixed soon and you can get the conclusion to the Benbot storyline.
While I have your attention, I want to say thanks to a few people who have helped get the word out on the book. First, thanks to Scott over at VG Cats for including a blurb in his blog. Also thanks to Zach from Joe and Monkey for putting one of our banners up on his site. I really appreciate it, buddy! And last, but not least, thanks to Fenris over at Aikida for also mentioning the book.
I’ll have more to say about the book with today’s comic update, but I wanted to make sure these guys were recognized for helping me get this off the ground! Thanks, guys!
