Okay, I don’t get it, personally. I’ve heard time and time again, even from Scott himself, that this is no longer a movie based in the Alien franchise, and the creature(s) would be something different.
Yet, watching that trailer, all I see is Alien references, from the title reveal, to the music, to the derelict ship, to the misty eggs, to the Giger-skeleton hallways.
Frankly, I would personally love it if we could get another Alien movie that returns it to true sci-fi horror instead of jokey schlock, but they need to make up their minds if it is or isn’t one.

From what I’ve heard, the xenomorphs do not make an appearance. Although, we do come to understand the role of the space jockey from the first Alien.
I could extrapolate, but that might be entering spoiler territory.
