   Hey Tom,

   I completely agree with you on the movie, I also seen it this weekend (and not by choice I wanted to see District 9). All the FD movies were stupid and superficial (and I have never paid to see one in the theater until this weekend), this one was especially stupid with the 3D gimmick.

   Rather than be grossed out by all the grisly deaths I found myself amused because they were so over the top. I won’t spoil any more of the deaths than need be but suffice to say that there were all shown in the stupid trailer.

   Thanks for the heads-up on the other comics, I’ll check em out this week.

   Nothing interesting came out this weekend so I went to see D-9 again, I loved it again! You know a movie is great when you can watch it a 2nd time without wanting to skip parts of it. I was anticipating re-watching every part, especially all things related to the weapons. D-9 and The Hurt Locker are my favorite movies of 2009, tied. 🙂

   Snakepit is another great journal comic. A little like American Elf with more punk rock and less babies.

     Snakepit looks/sounds very familiar. Doesn’t Mitch Clem hang out with that guy?

     I’ve read some of Kevin’s Journal Comic and it didn’t click with me. Too many of the last few comics were about getting approval from other comics creators. Kind of boring to me.

   I’m glad you got a chance to check out Inkdick. I really love the way he draws.

   Another interested comic by a SCAD grad (in this case I think he’s a graduate student) is “Kevin’s Journal Comic” by Kevin Burkhalter. It’s updates are somewhat sporadic as of late, but he did an entire month of updates where other comic artists drew his comics for him. They’re pretty hilarious.

   Great comic today! I’ve always wanted to see the same thing, but someone tripping and drowning in a toliet, the way FD would built that up would be hilarious!
