I’m staying home Friday. I’d like to see Ninja Assassin’s but won’t be able to get to a theater. Such is my life. Online shopping for me.

The guest don’t seem surprised or react to the turkey being hacked by a Ninja sword. This comic did make me laugh though!

In response to the last comment, I like that in the last panel no one is reacting differently, as comic Tom would do this kind of thing without thought. Now in real life, I hope Cami would be a bit more surprised

I’m tempted for Ninja Assassin. V for Vendetta is one of my favorite movies, and this looks to be a pretty awesome movie (albeit one that’s much goofier than V). Early reports, though, haven’t been very positive, but I’ll try to keep an open mind.

I thought about making them more horrified – and that probably would have worked better – but I was having so much trouble staging that last panel, I just decided it was better to keep things simple.
In retrospect, I think I might have had Tom strike more of a pose. Maybe slice the turkey in half mid-air.

When I first saw this, and read the name I was sold. I mean it does give off a generic vibe, but it gives off an intentionally generic vibe. I read “NINJA ASSASSIN” and I knew it was going to be 90 minutes of awesome. You don’t go to movies like this expecting anything poignant, merely a direct line to my adrenaline veins which they use to pump me full of awesome.
I just hope the sequel is called “Demolition Pirate” or “Samurai Lumberjack”!

It may just be me, but that trailer looked super CGI. Every shot of the chain-blade thingy just looked so fake.
That said, it must be incredibly hard to control it in real life, so it’s probably unavoidable. And the action looked cool. And the last shot, with the laundry machine… that’s hardcore.
Also, yeah, I think the funniest thing about this comic is how no-one at the table is reacting – honestly, would anyone expect anything less from Cami’s request?
