If you’re at all familiar with the real-time schadenfreude generator FMyLife.com, you’ll know that they’ve recently started accepting artist submissions for illustrated versions of some of their most famous tales of woe.
I noticed the boys from Cyanide and Happiness threw their hat into the ring with their contribution and I could stay my hand no longer!
I wrote to F My Life and offered my services and it looks like I’m clear for take off! They’ll be publishing my comic sometime in mid-May.
The only thing I have to do now is pick a story to illustrate. Obviously, one about movies would be the initial choice. But I was curious if anyone here keeps up with the site and if they might be willing to suggest one of their favorites?

that harddrvie problem you had back in august could be good. because didn’t you not back up some files or something. i dont really remember all the details but it seemed like FML type situation
That’s a good suggestion, kit. But I’m supposed to illustrate a story that already appears on their site. Something their readers are already familiar with.
My favorite is in the top about a girl wanting to leave her boyfriend for someone named “Edward.” Who, of course, turns out to be the fictional vampire.
Though they talk about the book instead of the movie, it seems like a scenario that would play out in the TH ‘verse.
That’s a good one and a highly ranked one as I recall, too.
I might have to do that one just to take this piss out of Twlight.
I don’t really follow Fmylife, just because most of them don’t seem that funny and I think they need a 3rd voting option – “your life’s not f’ed, get over yourself”, also a lot of them are just about someone being cheated on, maybe I’m just being harsh.

Really though I would suggest you read through and pick something that you think you can do a good comic for (which I assume you are doing anyway).
I read FML pretty much everyday, there’s a lot of stuff that I guess would be good in a comic form, but the funniest stuff seems to be all sex related.
