The first trailer for The Expendables 2 came out yesterday. It’s so manly, I want to run my fingers through its chest hair.
For a big action movie, this trailer’s a little week. Just a buncha name. Then again, it’s a teaser trailer and the actual movie doesn’t come out until August 17, so what do you want?
It’s funny that I bristle at stunt casting in movies like Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve. But I’m TOTALLY okay with a movie that stars Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damm, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Liam Hemsworth.
Okay, maybe not Hemsworth. I can take him or leave him.
Actually, I think I’m probably most excited about seeing Dolph Lundgren on screen. Yeah, I know he was in the first one. I just love that crazy Swede!

I’m a Dolph fan myself. I threw a party a few years back called ‘The Dolph Days of Summer’ that started around 8am and went till 3 am, just watching Dolph movies and drinking.
I’m not sure I can give this movie my money. I was really let down by the first one. It had the great cast, a decent enough plot, but the effects in it were some of the worst I’d seen in a long time. Also, with the title ‘The Expendables’, I was expecting some great glorious dramatic death scene from one of the main cast, but none of them died, felt kinda cheated.

I was so disappointed by the Expendables, I actually fell asleep in the theater. It was also hurt by the fact that it was the second movie of a double feature… The first movie? Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. Going from super excitement fun to “We should be corny, but dammit, WE’RE BEING SERIOUS” was not what I was expecting.
Expendables 2 is not getting my money, unless the trailers show a HUGE leap in cheese factor.
That is awesome. I saw both the movies in a double feature, in that same order! Oh look, a scary door.
