Well, I usually hate sequels… especially those that happen so long after what they are… sequeling… but on the other hand I’m a sucker for all things time travel so I’ll probably go and see it.
At least from this trailer, it seems like a lot of “saw this movie already” and really, it seems to even lack the emotional punch of the first movie with its hook of ‘Every-man dropped into bizarre situation’. You’re right in that it seems a lot like the same brand of “yeah I did that” smile will Smith has been peddling for a decade or so.
I had long held out hopes that they would do a new MiB movie that made up for all the crap that was the second one, sadly, this does not seem to be that movie, at least based on this trailer. then again, maybe they just had a really bad trailer editor?
I can’t agree that Tommy Lee Jones hasn’t aged – in some of his recent appearances he looks pretty ancient, except in weird places where they’ve clearly used CGI to de-age him.
