Ninja is not only a way of life (like a samurai), but also a profession with multiple disciplines. Like how lawyers can practice tort law, marriage law, disability claims, etc, ninja were trained in covert tactics. This did include assassination, but was not limited to it.
Fantastic Mr Fox has been out here in the UK for a while. As you would expect from a Wes Anderson picture the quality is top notch. The stop motion work is wonderful, and it has a slightly jerky, vintage feel to it (like you would see with earlier stop motion pieces) and is actually quite tactile and adorable. The voice work is honestly excellent, it may be George Clooney’s most charismatic role yet. It’s a shame it’s not very often we get to talk about stop motion animation, and even though Anderson’s input into the final product is debatable, Fantastic Mr Fox is still a wonderful film. While we’re on the top of stop motion I would definitely recommend this short if you’ve never seen it before, entitled Peter and the Wolf, which won an Academy Award for best animation in 2008. This is just the trailer, but you can click through in the side bar.
Am I the only one excited for The Road? I’m going to see it Tuesday with my fiance. I just finished the book after reading it strait through–well, in between playing massive amounts of Fall Out 3. (That wasn’t planned, by the by. I just happened to start the book on Tuesday and got a PS3 and the new edition of FO3 on Wednesday.) But I don’t seem to be hearing about it from anyone. It’s like it got lost in the shuffle of ninjas, overly intelligent canines, and gay vampires.
I liked Ninja Assassin but I couldn’t stop laughing at the sound the shuriken make when the ninjas throw them at superspeed. Yes it is a cheesy movie but that crazy noise was not expected, nor did my friends expect me to immitate that noise countless times after the movie.
What a fantastic great strip…:)
I see what you did there… 😉

@trevor
That’s it. I’m writing a movie called “Ninja Attorney.”
“What a fantastic great strip…” – Tom
I agree!
Is everyone in here named Tom, or is WordPress acting funky?
Because otherwise, it makes it look like my narcissism is flown further off the handle than usual!
I like the punchline 🙂 “murder people to death” is a great line!
Sounds like Dr. McNinja’s cousin. 😛
This all somehow reminds me of the Futurama line “I’m literally angry with rage!”
And I wholeheartedly recommend Fantastic Mr. Fox as soon as you can, it’s, well, fantastic. Very creative and funny movie.

Molnek, was it a “shwwing!” noise, or what?
More like phtphtphtpht, like a tiny helicopter.
