FAN ART
Click on the image to view the full-sized graphic. All comics are listed chronologically from the oldest to the most recent. Many thanks to the artists and writers who sent fan art, not because we asked them to, but just out of their love for Theater Hopper! If you have fan art you'd like to send in, send it to theaterhopper@hotmail.com
AricAric from Fish Strips was kind enough to send along this portrait. I think it's pretty good.

JaredSince Jared contributes to the site on a fairly regular basis, I don't know if you can call this "fan art". But he obviously went to a lot of work and snuck in a joke I wish I thought of!

JaredAnother classic from Jared. It references a blog post I made early on in the site, but which blog post that was exactly has been lost in the shuffle.

Dave BuistDave Buist from Taking the Bi-Pass made a follow-up strip that picks up where his hilarious guest strip left off. Did Tom and Jared survive? Click the image to find out!

T.S. TennantFellow Henry Rollins fan T. S. Tennant sent this piece of artwork in response to the strip where I professed my love to The Aging Alternative Icon. T.S. also has a web comic called Counting the Cracks.

LanceLance put this strip together for us while I was away in Las Vegas. I wish the slot machines paid out in great comics like this one.

ChristiChristi wanted to give us a strip for the Vegas guest week, but she was a little late getting hers in. "I know I missed guest comic week," she said "but for some reason I was inspired to try a guest comic for the first time...l in a very long time!" We thank her for it!

Brad CollinsBrad Collins sent my some fan art that's really just a copy and past job, but I appreciate the meta humor, so I'm posting it anyway.

DesmondWhen Desmond from Bigger Than Cheeses sent us some fan art, he knew exactly what we wanted to see... Harry Knowles taken down like water buffalo! Just click the thumbnail. You'll understand.

TrumanI don't have the name of the person who sent this to me, but it was meant as a get well card for Truman in the summer of 2004 after he had some abdominal surgery. If you're the artist, step up so I can credit you!

Dave BuistDave from Taking the Bi-Pass created this wonderful piece of artwork celebrate Theater Hopper's 2 Year Anniversary on August 5, 2004. I had no idea how violent the comic really was until Dave slapped me across the face and woke me up to reality!

James HerbertJames Hebert sent us an awesome piece of fan work to show his appreciation. It straddles the line between comic Tom and "real life" Tom. It looks outstanding!

Cherry BoyCherry Boy sent me this fan art about doing something to Tim Burton some of us have wished we could do for a long time. And by that I mean strangle him.

Joe DunnJoe Dunn from about a million different comics (most of which can be found at Digital Pimp Online) drew an awesome piece of fan art to commemorate the storyline where Jimmy lost his job. Joe packs more emotion and dynamic energy into this rendering than I did in the entire arc!

Joe DunnThe masterful Joe Dunn has done it again. This time capturing the ladies of Theater Hopper in all their sultry glory!

Ever wonder what Theater Hopper would look like if it were stripped down to it's most basic visual elements? Good thing Hugh Sullivan from Stickman Ltd. is here to answer that question for you!

Mike SmithMike Smith from eXe-World sent a very ambitious, two part strip about Nick fighting a Matrix-style battle against his clones. Y'see, Mike thought that the MPAA Thought Police that hauled Tom away when he met Jack Vallenti looked suspiciously like our long-forgotten cast member Nick. In any case, check out the wonderfully illustrated fight scene he puts together here!

Michael Morgan and Michael HanningArtist Michael Morgan and writer Michael Hanning put together a great piece of fan art centered around one of the best sci-fi movies ever. I really dig the watercolor style of the art. If you like it too, check out their comic The Vinyl Groove!

Alex WilderI always wondered what I would look like as a beefy/dreamy anime character. Thanks to Alex Wilder, my fantasies have been fulfilled!

Madison GrioMadison Grio sent a very unique piece of fan art. She took a phrase spun from the comic and made her own t-shirt out of it! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous. I've been trying to figure out a way to do a similar shirt without using any Star Wars characters and have it communicate what I intended for it. Except without Mark Hamill, the phrase just becomes creepy. Madison's in good shape legally, though. You make this stuff for yourself at home and Lucasfilm Legal doesn't have a Taun Taun to stand on!

Matt WeldonI was a little nervous to post Matt Weldon's AMAZING piece of fan art because - quite frankly - it makes me look like I shouldn't be drawing these characters. Gaze upon Matt's work and be amazed!

Josh MeinzerI've always maintained that the artist of one of my most favorite web comics - Aikida's Josh Meinzer - draws some of the sexiest women in comics. He's taken his talents and applied them to resident Theater Hopper sexpot Charlie! WARNING: MIGHT MELT YOUR MONITOR!

Will TempletonAfter a homo-erotic guest week trifecta, it was only a matter of time before someone answered the call of the obvious parody. Kudos to Anarchy Soda's creator Will Templeton for getting there first!
