GAME OVER, MAN! GAME OVER!

Having Dave nuked with the Chipmunks doesn’t really diminish the graphicness of the last panel.

Well, okay. It doesn’t subtract from the graphic nature of the image. But aren’t you at least comforted to know they all died together?

I would like to see Dave strapped to the bomb instead of riding it. He is willing to kill the Chipmunks but he shouldn’t be willing to die himself.

Duly noted. I just wanted the Strangelove reference.

My problem is the Chipmunkized versions of Lady Gaga in the trailer, meaning they may make the actual film, too. Is there no escape from the horribleness of today’s popular music?

    BOOM baby! šŸ˜€

As of current writing, you’re at 120 on the list šŸ™‚ You can vote once every 24 hours, folks! Let’s get him up in the top 50!

It’s the Squeekocalypse! You’ll burn out your eyes in joy this Christmas!

Y’know, I don’t think I’d hate the chipmunk movies as much if they didn’t always set on doing adult sexy songs. Like seriously, a half naked woodland creature is gyrating its hips to the beat of a Lady Gaga song at your child, and you’re not horrified?

Little-known fact: Clyde Crashcup invented the atomic bomb. For just such a purpose. Those little rodent S.O.B.s get three films, but not even a cameo for The World’s Greatest Inventor? Blasphemy!

I see you went with the more traditional Dave instead of the Jason Lee version of Dave.

which is a shame because you could have gotten rid of both of them with one bomb.

Which this movie (sadly) will not be.

I really, really didn’t want to draw Jason Lee. I thought it would be funnier to draw 80’s Dave.

I would have drawn 1950’s Dave if I thought people would get the reference.

I did like the cartoon in the 80s, but these movies…they make me sad. And my nephews love them and will want to see this one. ::sigh::

Take em to see the Muppets instead.

They, sadly, do not care about The Muppets. Luckily one of their parents will probably take them to the Chipmunks movie so I won’t have to suffer through it.

Wholeheartedly agree with the anti-Chipmunk sentiment. Never could stand them myself. As for the final panel, I’m thinking of using it as the cover for my next death metal compilation. Nicely done šŸ™‚

A side note: Is it a sign of age that I’d have loved a movie mashup with Robert Duvall included somewhere intoning, “I love the smell of chipmunk in the morning”?

I liked the cartoon, but these movies make me despair about the quality of entertainment these days. Also, I really like Jason Lee and I have no idea what he’s doing in these films. I thought he was better than that.

I voted this a 10 star comic purely for the full minute shock that resided on my face as I stared in wonder, horror, and possibly happiness at the last panel.

LOVED the cartoon version. Can’t stand the trailers and I’m pretty sure I’d commit seppuku if I ever was forced to watch them.

I’m kind of amazed how strongly the reaction to this comic has been considering it’s more than a little bit dark. But I think shock has something to do with it. šŸ˜‰

I didn’t find the last panel particularly bleak, mostly just because I don’t think a nuke would be nearly enough to end this insanity. They probably regenerated shortly after.

      Like the T-1000!

Now do the same to the cast of New Year’s Eve.

Don’t ask for that. Tom is in the movie.

Honestly, I think this is the funniest, most from-my-heart appropriate comic you have ever written. Kudos, good sir!

Great comic, Tom. I love the tie-in with the Bill Paxton line for your blog entry title too. I lol’d.

Thanks. I like to throw in those “Easter Eggs” – as it were. Always a bonus when people catch the reference!
