I went into this movie with high standards, and Zombieland lived up to them. It's unfortunate that couple's retreat is going to perform way better at the box office.

Saw Zombieland and hated it. What a lame movie. There was so much potential for this film to be great but it never got past the sorry monotone acting and dialog. Seriously, why waste setting up a character for developement and then doing nothing with it? The only thing I liked about this movie was the afore mentioned spoiler. I knew nothing about it going in and loved it. That was the only thing I liked. Zombies were simply an after thought and were almost non exisitant. By the way, if you sit through the credits, there is a small blooper clip with the spoiler character.

Cyrano,

I don't think I chucked a phone for texting. As distracting as texting can be, it's a lot less of an affront than talking for 20 minutes through a movie in a packed theater. Apples and oranges, man.

Like George said, I would never EVER start texting in a packed theater. I have some self control.

But when it's just me and one other guy in the theater - when the other guy is sitting 5 rows ahead of me and can't possibly see the light from my screen - yeah, I'll post a message or two to Twitter.

Obviously if he had asked me to stop I would have put my phone away immediately. End of story.

Cyrano,
I know what you mean, but I believe that if he was not affecting the experience of the other people in the theater, which obviously wasnt something he was doing since no one complained to him, then he was ok. I know tom would have immediately stopped if someone had complained about it, and if i'm speaking for tom when i say that, i'm sorry Tom. I dont mean to speak for you.

I don't really care, but on one of the podcasts didn't you talk about freaking out on another guy and throwing out his phone for texting during a movie?

I did see the movie, but unless you're mentioning the "cameo", then I have no idea what you're talking about. Also, I didn't get to stay past the credits. What did I miss??
